Chocolate Freakshake
Ingredients (serves 1)
- 2 large scoops chocolate ice cream (about 300 g)
- ½ cup (120 ml) whole milk
- 2 tbsp chocolate syrup, plus extra for glass rim
- Whipped cream (from a can or freshly whipped)
- 1 small brownie, cut into chunks
- 1 chocolate bar (e.g. Snickers, Twix), broken into pieces
- 1 tbsp chocolate sprinkles
- 1 maraschino cherry
Equipment
- Blender
- Tall milkshake glass (500–600 ml capacity)
- Spoon and straw
- Small plate or shallow bowl
Instructions
- Prepare the glass:
- Pour a little chocolate syrup onto a small plate or shallow bowl.
- Dip the rim of the glass into the syrup, then immediately dip into the sprinkles to coat.
- Drizzle extra syrup inside the glass in a swirly pattern.
- Make the shake:
- In the blender, combine chocolate ice cream, milk and 2 tbsp chocolate syrup.
- Blend on high until smooth but still thick—avoid over-blending.
- Assemble:
- Pour the milkshake into the prepared glass, leaving about 2 cm from the top.
- Top generously with whipped cream.
- Press brownie chunks and chocolate bar pieces into the whipped cream so they stick.
- Drizzle additional chocolate syrup over the top.
- Sprinkle a few more chocolate sprinkles and finish with a maraschino cherry.
- Serve immediately with a sturdy straw and long spoon. Enjoy before it melts!
Tips & Variations
- For extra crunch, rim the glass with melted chocolate and crushed Oreos.
- Swap brownies for cookie dough bites or waffle pieces.
- Add a shot of espresso for a mocha twist.
- Use dairy-free ice cream and milk for a vegan version.
