Tater Tot Pizza Casserole

Tater Tot Pizza Casserole is a comfort food mash-up that combines everything you love about pizza and crispy tater tots in one bubbling, cheesy dish. Perfect for weeknight dinners, potlucks, or game day, this fun and filling casserole is always a crowd-pleaser. The pizza sauce brings the classic flavor, the melty cheese ties it all together, and the golden tots on top add that irresistible crunch.

You can customize it just like a pizza — toss on some mushrooms, peppers, or black olives, or swap in spicy Italian sausage for a flavor kick. Whether you’re feeding a hungry crew or just looking for a cozy dinner idea, this one-pan meal hits the spot every time.

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Cook the Meat:
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or sausage. Drain the fat. Add onion and garlic, cook until the onion is soft, about 3-4 minutes.

3. Add Sauce & Seasoning:
Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes to blend flavors.

4. Assemble the Casserole:
Pour the meat mixture into the greased baking dish.
Sprinkle half the mozzarella cheese over it.
Layer with pepperoni and any additional toppings.
Arrange frozen tater tots on top in a single layer.
Finish with the remaining mozzarella cheese.

5. Bake:
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until the tots are crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Serve:
Let rest a few minutes before slicing into squares. Serve hot and enjoy every cheesy, crispy bite!

 Tips:

– Switch up the cheese for a deeper flavor — try provolone or a cheddar blend.
– Want it spicy? Add crushed red pepper or swap in hot Italian sausage.
– Freeze leftovers (if any!) for a quick weeknight reheat.
