Strawberry Banana Smoothie


 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk or dairy-free alternative
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Handful of ice cubes

Directions

  1. Wash the strawberries and remove the stems. Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into smaller pieces for easier blending.
  2. In a blender, combine the fresh strawberries, sliced bananas, yogurt, milk or dairy-free alternative, and honey or maple syrup (if using).
  3. Add a handful of ice cubes to the blender.
  4. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the blender if needed.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately. Garnish with a sliced strawberry or banana if desired.
