‘Winter Comfort Bowl’—Just 5 ingredients. I make this every December because it’s impossibly easy and always comforting..

During the holiday season, there’s just something comforting about gathering around the table for a warm, home-cooked meal. My creamy holiday fettuccine is a simple yet delicious dish that brings everyone together. With only five ingredients, it’s easy enough for a busy parent to prepare while still feeling luxurious and festive. This is a dish I love to share with my family, as it always brings smiles and a sense of togetherness.
This creamy fettuccine pairs beautifully with a crisp green salad or some roasted seasonal vegetables like Brussels sprouts or carrots. To round out the meal, consider serving a loaf of crusty bread for dipping into the creamy sauce. For a touch of elegance, you might add a glass of your favorite white wine for the adults.
Slow Cooker 5-Ingredient Creamy Holiday Fettuccine
Ingredients
12 oz fettuccine pasta
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup unsalted butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
2. In your slow cooker, add the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and unsalted butter.
3. Set the slow cooker to low and stir occasionally until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 1 to 1.5 hours.
4. Once the sauce is ready, add the cooked fettuccine to the slow cooker and toss to coat the pasta evenly.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve immediately.
Variations & Tips
For a protein boost, consider adding cooked chicken or shrimp to the fettuccine. You can also incorporate some fresh spinach or peas for added color and nutrition, which could appeal to picky eaters. If you prefer a bit of tang, try adding a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or a pinch of nutmeg to the sauce. For those who enjoy a bit of heat, a dash of red pepper flakes can spice things up nicely.
