Ingredients:
1 can (400 g) sweetened condensed milk
Water (for boiling)
Instructions:
Method 1: Boiling the Can (Classic Method)
Remove the label from the condensed milk can.

Place the unopened can in a large pot.
Cover completely with water (at least 2 inches above the can).

Bring to a boil, then reduce to a gentle simmer.
Simmer for 2–3 hours:
2 hours = lighter, softer dulce de leche

3 hours = darker, thicker dulce de leche
Keep checking and adding water to keep the can fully submerged.
Turn off the heat and let the can cool completely before opening.
Open and enjoy your smooth dulce de leche!
Method 2: Pressure Cooker (Faster)
Place the unopened can in a pressure cooker.
Add water until the can is fully covered.
Cook on medium pressure for 30–40 minutes.
Let pressure release naturally, cool the can, and open.
Tips:
Never open the can while hot — it can burst and cause burns.
For extra flavor, mix in a pinch of sea salt or vanilla after opening.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Use it as a topping for pancakes, churros, ice cream, cakes, or cookies.
