Raspberry Danish
Ingredients:
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
Optional Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1–2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unfold the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 4 equal squares.
In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square, then top with a few raspberries.
Fold the corners of each square toward the center, slightly overlapping to enclose the filling. Brush the pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
Optional: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make a glaze. Drizzle over the warm Danish before serving.
