Ingredients



8 chicken drumsticks

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional for color & flavor)

Honey Garlic Sauce

1/4 cup honey


3 tbsp soy sauce

3–4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional heat)

 

Instructions

 



1. Prep the drumsticks
Pat the chicken dry (crispier skin!). Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika.

2. Make the sauce
In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, onion powder, and red pepper flakes.

3. Coat the chicken
Place drumsticks in a baking dish. Pour half the sauce over them and toss to coat evenly.

4. Bake
Bake at 400°F (205°C) for 35–45 minutes, flipping halfway through.


5. Glaze
Brush with the remaining sauce during the last 10 minutes for that glossy finish.

6. Broil (optional)
Broil 2–3 minutes for caramelized edges—watch closely!

 

Tips

Line your pan with foil for easy cleanup.

Want them extra sticky? Simmer leftover sauce on the stove for 2–3 minutes until thickened, then brush over the chicken.

Serve with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh cucumber salad.
