Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
250g ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
½ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ cup tomato sauce or ketchup

1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
Add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the ground beef and cook while breaking it apart with a spoon. Continue until the meat is fully browned.
Ezoic
Sprinkle in salt, pepper, paprika, chili flakes, and oregano. Mix well so the seasoning coats the beef evenly.
Stir in the tomato sauce or ketchup and cook for 2 minutes to thicken the mixture slightly. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into equal squares or rectangles, depending on the size you prefer.
Ezoic
Spoon a generous amount of the beef mixture onto the center of each pastry piece.
Add a layer of shredded cheese on top of the beef to create the perfect cheesy filling.
Fold the pastry over the filling to form pockets. Press the edges with a fork to seal them tightly.

Ezoic
Beat the egg in a bowl and brush the tops of the pockets with the egg wash for a shiny golden finish.
Place the pockets on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes or until puffed and beautifully golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes before serving to avoid burning from the hot filling.
Tips or Serving Suggestions
• Serve these pockets with ketchup, garlic mayo, or a spicy dipping sauce for extra flavor.
• For a richer taste, add diced bell peppers or sweet corn to the beef mixture.
• Want a crispier finish? Sprinkle sesame seeds or grated cheese on top before baking.
These Cheesy Beef Puff Pastry Pockets are easy, comforting, and always a crowd favorite. Whether you make them for a snack, lunchbox, or game night, they’ll be gone before you know it. Enjoy!
