Ingredients (for 2-3 servings):

2 tablespoons of instant coffee (unsweetened)

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

4 tablespoons of cold water (preferably from the refrigerator)

The doses can easily be doubled or tripled while maintaining the 1:1:2 ratio (coffee: sugar: water).

Step-by-step preparation:

1. Prepare the ingredients:

Pour the instant coffee, sugar and cold water into a large bowl.

I recommend using a bowl with high edges to avoid splashes while whisking.

2. Whip the mixture:

Using an electric whisk (or a stand mixer, if you prefer), begin whipping the mixture at medium-high speed.

After about 3-5 minutes, you will see that the mixture will transform into a frothy, dense and stable cream, with a light hazelnut color.

The consistency should be similar to that of whipped cream.

3. Serve your spumone:

Distribute the resulting cream into small glasses or cups, using a spoon or a piping bag for a more elegant result.

Decorate as desired:

For a delicious touch, you can add:

a pinch of bitter cocoa powder

dark chocolate chips

chopped hazelnuts or almonds
