shrimp and mussels smothered in a rich,

 

Ingredients:
For the Seafood:
1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 lb mussels (cleaned and de-bearded)
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup white wine (optional)
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
For the Garlic Bread:
4 slices of French baguette or your choice of bread
2 tbsp butter (melted)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tbsp parsley (chopped)

Salt to taste
Instructions:1. Prepare the Garlic Bread:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and a pinch of salt.
Brush the garlic butter mixture generously onto each slice of bread.
Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy.
2. Cook the Seafood:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
Add the shrimp and mussels to the skillet. Sauté the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. The mussels should open up in 3-5 minutes. Discard any mussels that don't open.
Once the shrimp and mussels are cooked, add the heavy cream, chicken broth, and white wine to the pan. Stir well to combine.
Add the smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
3. Serve:
Plate the creamy shrimp and mussels, pouring the sauce over the top.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for an extra pop of color.
Serve the seafood alongside your crispy garlic bread.
