Homemade condensed milk with 2 ingredients: delicious and economical


 With just two simple ingredients, you can make homemade condensed milk that’s just like the real thing, perfect for any dessert you want to make.

Making condensed milk at home is easier than you think. Besides being inexpensive, it’s quick to make and has the same consistency and flavor as store-bought condensed milk.

This way, you’ll have delicious homemade condensed milk to use in cakes, puddings, brigadeiros, and anything else your creativity can conjure up. So let’s see what the ingredients are and how to make this wonder!

How to Make Homemade Condensed Milk
You’ll only need 2 ingredients and a little water. See the quantities needed:

1 1/2 cups water (360 ml)
2 cups sugar (380 g)
2 cups powdered milk (200 g)
Note: The measured cup is 240 ml.
This recipe yields approximately 800 g of condensed milk. If you want less, halve the recipe.

PREPARATION METHOD
Place two cups of sugar and one and a half cups of water in a saucepan or milk jug. Mix well. Place over high heat and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cook for two minutes, then remove from heat.

Pour the sugar and water mixture into a blender and add the two cups of powdered milk.

Blend for three minutes until smooth. Transfer the condensed milk to a container and let it cool.

Once cooled, refrigerate for a few hours to allow it to reach the desired consistency.
Bonus Tip
When homemade condensed milk is in the refrigerator, it’s normal for some foam to form on top. If you prefer, you can skim off this foam with a spoon, but it’s not necessary.
This does not affect the taste or consistency of the condensed milk. And if you only want to make one can of sweetened condensed milk, simply halve the quantities!
